About Us

Online Genius, LLC was founded in 2017 by Ed Kearns, the creator of Market Genius Brands, a web development company. Initially, the company provided access to professionals needing to locate both public and non-public records.

In 2018, Online Genius, LLC launched a seed campaign to cover development and API costs. The campaign quickly attracted over 150 users, and the company has continued to grow steadily year after year.

In 2020, the company gained significant attention when it successfully located a target for law enforcement using social media and shopping patterns, catching the eye of the federal agencies. In August 2020, Online Genius announced its relocation to Idaho and introduced the first blacklist of individuals who cannot be searched using its services.

In 2024, Online Genius, LLC launched a Start Engine Campaign, securing $100,000 from Abington Investment Group, LLC, a Pennsylvania-based venture capital firm. The company rebranded, refreshed its website, and relaunched with proprietary search algorithms designed to deliver the most advanced and comprehensive investigative reports in the industry.

Today, Online Genius serves a wide range of professionals, including investigators, legal professionals, process servers, bail bondsmen, recovery agents, collections agencies, finance professionals, security firms, and government and law enforcement agencies, ensuring they can locate anyone, anywhere.
